Privacy policy

Information we collect

• Information you provide directly. If you submit the contact form, we collect the information you enter, including your name, email address, optional company, optional project type, and message. If you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect your email address and any related signup metadata needed to manage that subscription.
• Anti-spam and security signals. The contact form includes a hidden anti-spam field. When Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled, the site also submits a Turnstile token and may send your IP address to Cloudflare to help verify that a form submission is coming from a human user rather than an automated bot.
• Usage and device data. We use PostHog analytics to understand how the site is used. It records the pages you view and how you interact with them, including the cards you pull in the oracle experience, the streams you play and roughly how long you listen, clicks out to music platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube, and the fact that a newsletter or waitlist signup or contact form was completed (not what you entered). Alongside these it processes your browser and device type, screen size, language, the page that referred you, timestamps, your IP address, and an approximate location (country, region, and city) derived from that address. Analytics records are kept under a random identifier and are not linked to your name or email address.
• Campaign and referral tags. Some links to this site, such as links shared by creators and partners we work with, carry campaign tags in the web address (UTM parameters). When you arrive through one of these links, we record those tags with your visit so we can measure how each campaign performs. The tags identify the campaign and the account that shared the link, not you.
• Diagnostic data. Our error monitoring service, Sentry, processes technical details about errors that occur on our servers, such as the request that failed, timestamps, and related diagnostic information.
• Standard request logs. Our hosting and infrastructure providers may process standard server request data such as IP address, browser type, request path, timestamps, and related operational logs to run and secure the site.

How we use information

• To deliver and maintain the website.
• To review, route, and respond to inquiries about licensing, partnerships, events, press, and general contact requests.
• To prevent spam, abuse, fraud, security incidents, and misuse of the contact form.
• To send newsletter and update emails when you subscribe to the mailing list.
• To understand how visitors use the site, to measure how the campaigns and creator links that bring people here perform, and to improve content, navigation, and marketing pages.
• To detect, investigate, and fix technical errors.
• To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site does not currently provide user accounts or shopping carts. The site and its service providers use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies as follows.

• PostHog analytics stores a random identifier in a first-party cookie and in your browser's local storage so that the pages you view during a visit, and return visits from the same browser, can be counted together. It does not identify you by name or email address.
• Embedded YouTube players on the streaming pages may set their own cookies when you play a stream. See “Third-party links and platforms” below.
• If Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled, Cloudflare may use cookies or similar signals to distinguish legitimate human traffic from automated abuse.
• This site does not initialize PostHog analytics when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

When we share information

We may share information with service providers that help us run the site and communications, but only as reasonably necessary for those purposes.

• Hosting and infrastructure providers that serve the site and maintain operational logs.
• Email delivery providers used to send contact-form inquiries when email delivery is configured.
• Newsletter platform providers such as Mailchimp when newsletter signup is enabled.
• Analytics, monitoring, and anti-spam providers: PostHog for site analytics, Sentry for error monitoring, and Cloudflare Turnstile for anti-spam checks when it is enabled.
• Professional advisers, regulators, or law enforcement when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the site.
• Successors in a business transition such as a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or asset sale.

We do not sell personal information collected through this site, and we do not use this site for third-party advertising.

Retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to respond to inquiries, maintain business records, troubleshoot problems, meet legal obligations, and enforce our agreements. Analytics, monitoring, and infrastructure data may also be retained according to the settings and retention periods used by the relevant service providers.

Third-party links and platforms

This site links to third-party websites and platforms, including streaming services, social networks, press articles, and related Sacred Society properties. When you leave this site, your interactions are governed by the privacy notices and terms of the third party you visit, not this policy.

Our streaming pages embed video players from YouTube, loaded from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain. When you play a stream, YouTube and Google may set cookies and collect information about the playback under Google's privacy policy. Our own analytics receive only basic playback signals from the player, such as whether a stream was started or unmuted and rough listening milestones, and never your YouTube account information.

Your choices and rights

• You can choose not to submit the contact form if you do not want us to receive the information requested there.
• If you subscribe to the newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us directly.
• You may be able to limit cookies or similar technologies through your browser settings.
• If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, this site does not initialize PostHog analytics. Most browsers offer one of these settings, and privacy extensions can send them for you.
• Subject to applicable law, you may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the site. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will review the request.

International use

Sacred Society Music is based in the United States. Information processed through this site may be handled in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate, which may have data protection laws that differ from those in your location.

Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the site, our practices, or legal requirements. When we do, we will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above.
