Attention
Atención
Not everything that gets your attention deserves it.
Stopping can be as important as moving. We are so accustomed to momentum that we rarely pause long enough to ask whether we are still going in the direction we mean to go.
This card invites you to stop. Not necessarily to quit, but to create enough space to collect your thoughts, catch your breath, and notice what has been obscured by constant movement. Sometimes stopping is rest. Sometimes it is a necessary ending. Sometimes it is a pause before moving forward, or the moment when you realize it is time to change direction.
What does stopping mean for you right now? Is this a place to remain, a moment to pause, or an invitation to begin again differently? You do not need to decide immediately. Permit yourself to stop long enough to hear what the pause is telling you.
Reflection Practice
Find a quiet place where you will not be interrupted for ten minutes. Leave your phone behind. Sit without trying to accomplish anything. Simply notice what continues to draw your attention. The sounds around you, a memory, a feeling, a question, or something in the natural world. Rather than chasing each thought, gently ask, "What is truly asking to be seen?" When the time is over, carry only that one thing with you into the rest of your day.
Journal Prompt
