May I recognize the messages the world is sending.
A hummingbird appears.
It comes with a message.
This tiny creature with fluttering wings carries the fierce energy of life itself. According to Indigenous culture, hummingbirds carried messages between worlds. Huitzilopochtli, the great Mexica patron deity, was associated with the hummingbird, the sun, movement, courage, and the force that keeps life moving forward.
Watch it hover, and you begin to understand why: a body no larger than your palm, suspended between earth and sky, beating its wings with astonishing speed. It arrives, drinks deeply from a flower, and disappears.
Blink, and you miss it.
The hummingbird reminds us that life sometimes announces itself in a simple flash of color. A sudden song. A person who crosses your path at just the right moment. Something small that catches your attention and asks you to look again.
When this card is drawn, pay attention to what stirs your wonder.
Not every coincidence is a message. But the world always gives us something to notice.
You do not have to know what they mean.
Just stay awake to them.
Reflection Practice
Take a slow walk outside without headphones or conversation. Rather than searching for a sign, simply notice what repeatedly draws your attention. When you return home, write down three things you observed and what each awakened within you.
Journal Prompt
- What am I noticing that was once overlooked?
Affirmation
I move through the world with open eyes and an open heart.
