Presence
Presencia
This moment has been waiting for your full attention.
At dawn, hummingbirds hover at blossoms opened only a few hours. Morning mist clings to the forests, rolling down a valley between trees, before quietly lifting with the sun. Dew gathers on maguey leaves, then disappears with the day's warmth.
When this card is drawn, it invites you to meet this moment before asking anything of the next. Nothing in nature rushes to hold what cannot be kept. Its beauty exists because it is fully given to the moment before it. We often miss what is before us while refusing to let go and grabbing for what comes next.
Step outside without your phone and let attention become your only task. Listen for sounds, notice colors, feel textures, breathe in the scents around you. Look closely enough to discover something you have never noticed before. What has been asking for my attention? Allow yourself to receive what is here without needing it to become anything else.
I receive this moment as it is.
Reflection Practice
Step outside for five minutes without your phone. Notice five sounds. Listen. Identify four colors. Observe. Three textures. Feel them. Two scents. Breath deep. And one thing you have never observed before. Let attention become your only task.
