Center
Centro
Return to the place within you that does not move.
In the eye of a hurricane, stillness. Ahuehuete remains rooted while branches sway. Sunflower turns throughout the day, following the light without losing itself. Your center is not found by escaping life's movement, but by remaining rooted within it.
When this card is drawn, it invites you to return to what is steady, trustworthy, and deeply your own. When uncertainty arrives, listen first for the quiet knowing beneath the noise. Before seeking advice or gathering opinions, notice what you already believe to be true. Carry that knowing with you. Return to it later and ask: Has your understanding deepened, or have you simply drifted away from your center?
What helps you return to your center when life feels uncertain? The world will shift around you. Circumstances will change. Other voices will rise and fall. You can turn toward them without losing your roots.
Your center can remain steady through every season of change.
Reflection Practice
Think of one decision you are facing. Before asking anyone else for advice, write down what you believe is the right path. Keep your answer with you throughout the day. Return to it that evening. If it has changed, ask yourself: Did my understanding deepen, or did I simply drift away from my center?
