Purpose
Propósito
What is meant for you rarely arrives at once.
Each spring, monarch butterflies return to the oyamel forests without a map. In the milpa, maize, beans, and squash each grow according to their own nature, while nourishing one another. Rivers do not question the shape of the valley before they begin to flow.
When this card is drawn, it invites you to notice what your life keeps returning to over and again. Purpose is seldom discovered in a single revelation. More often, meaning is made by pulling a single thread until a tapestry is revealed.
Look back at the moments when you felt most alive, useful, or connected to something larger than yourself. What thread runs through them? What has called to you throughout your life, even when you tried to ignore it? The pattern may be quieter than a calling and more persistent than a plan.
Trust what keeps returning. You do not have to know exactly where the path leads to recognize the direction it has been taking you. Honor the path that has been unfolding within you.
Reflection Practice
Set aside ten quiet minutes. Write down three moments in your life when you felt deeply alive, useful, or connected to something larger than yourself. Look for the thread they share instead of the differences between them.
Journal Prompt
- What has called to me throughout my life, even when I tried to ignore it?
Affirmation
