Boundaries
Límites
Every sacred space begins with a threshold.
Boundaries are thresholds that invite reverence. The temazcal has a doorway. Ceremonial grounds are marked by stone. Even a hummingbird pauses before entering the heart of a flower.
When this card is drawn, it invites you to consider what has endured in your life and what made its flourishing possible. Beauty does not survive by accident. It is protected by boundaries, spoken and unspoken, that create enough space for something precious to take root. A relationship, a home, your inner life, or a cherished practice may need not more attention, but clearer edges.
What is sacred is never approached carelessly. Boundaries teach you when to enter, when to wait, and what must be protected from intrusion. Where would a clearer threshold help protect what is sacred? Your boundaries are not walls against life. They are the conditions that allow what matters to remain alive.
You honor the sacred spaces that shape your life.
Reflection Practice
Think of something beautiful that has endured in your life. Ask yourself not what created it, but what protected it long enough to grow. Spend a few moments writing about the boundaries, spoken or unspoken, that made its flourishing possible.
