Gratitude
Gratitud
The grateful heart sees abundance long before the hands can hold it.
Gratitude is the practice of noticing what remains beautiful, nourishing, and true, even when life feels incomplete. It shifts our attention from what is missing to what is already here.
Spring arrives with jacarandas erupting into impossible violet blossoms. They carpet the sidewalks and turn entire streets lavender. People step over the flowers on their way to work, coffee in hand, conversations uninterrupted. Street vendors open their stalls. Buses rumble past. The city carries on as though nothing extraordinary had happened.
This card invites you to pause before reaching for more. The breath filling your lungs. The meal before you. The hand that steadies you. Stop beneath blossoming trees to watch petals drift through morning light.
These are gestures of life, continually offering itself.
Gratitude does not deny hardship. It reminds us that joy and sorrow often share the same table. Notice what is already enough, and abundance is realized.
Reflection Practice
Before your next meal, pause. Notice everything that made it possible. From the rain and soil to the people whose labor brought it to your table. Try to think of as many things as you can that made this simple, single meal possible. Receive it with intention before taking your first bite.
Journal Prompt
- What blessings have become so familiar that I no longer notice them?
Affirmation
I recognize the quiet abundance that surrounds me and receive it with an open heart.
